I thought these two images were the most visually appealing images from the set.

Image 1. I started by disconnecting my figure from the background, in which I used the paths tool to trace my figure --> selection from path --> invert the selection, and ultimately delete the background after adding an alpha layer. Once I had removed the background, I duplicated my figure about 6 times into separate layers, and I arranged them in a cascading fashion. The primary tool I used was the wind tool which slides pixels from the edges of a selection with options of threshold, strength and direction to a set of targeted pixels. I added noise by taking one of the layers and using the "illusion" filter to create a kaleidoscope effect, because I just wanted repetitious noise; I turned the opacity of this layer down. I plastered the last figure onto a fractal map (the abstractions in the corners and lower opacity near the center). This was to break up the density I had created by means of other forms than that of the repeated "glitched figure". I then moved to the background which I generated by rendering "smooth noise" for a dream scape atmosphere & also rendered a "yellow fog" overtop of that to pull together the blue on the headset and blend with the skin tones. The final layer was on the top, in which I did a series of cone gradients of cyan/pink in low opacity to create a color filter to subtley tie together the cyberpunk themes.

Image 2. I used a similar method of duplication, but instead of the precision of paths I just used a rectangular select because I want it to have a dadaist collage kind of look. I then arranged the outlets I duplicated into just a grid, but I decided I needed other visual elements, so I duplicated a usb cable using the same technique. Once I had my composition the challenge was the intense shadows and lighting of the original image. I played with brighness/contrast sliders & shadow/light sliders to equalize the two extremes and ultimately neutralize the clear shadows at the edge of each image. After I had finalized the piece it was time to add some garnish so to speak -- I made a circle selection & instead of filling the whole circle with green I only filled in certain areas like a chromakey & then I proceeded to add a little bit of yellow to the edge. Finalizing the image I used a newsprint filter to make it pointalist and textured.
